Well, Region is over. DD did great. She cut 7 seconds off her 100 freestyle swim and led the 400 relay to victory. I'm so proud of her. She was mad because her 7 seconds was beat by another girl out touching her at the end. I'm not though. She did awesome.

Next stop, Invitational this weekend then off to do year round swimming.

Happy Birthday Little Jon

My baby boy turns two today. I can't believe he's this old already. I'm sure my WW NASCAR girlfriends remember this day. One of the highest count of posts we have ever had. I disappeared on the 18th from the boards when I went in for high blood pressure and they decided to induce me. All my WW friends were looking for me. They searched the local hospitals when they figured out exactly where I lived. After this mishap, we all switched phone numbers and vowed to let each other know if we were taking a break or if we went into labor.

Kinks in dd's boyfriend armor. I think she's going to dump him. He's too clingy. Too nice to be sincere. We'll see.

LJ got into bed this morning with CC and I about 5am. Then he proceeded to say "move mommy", honey, it's my bed not yours! But I moved to the was more comfortable than having his foot in my stomach. I just love that boy. CC thought it was funny.

Thursday, oh it's almost Friday

Well, this week has had its ups and downs. LJ is not asking for milk anymore at night. I think he's getting his 2yr molars in and is sporadically sleeping thru the night.

DD's boyfriend is "well known" around the school. I'm hearing things I do not like and he's showing some true colors. Daddy's gonna have a talk with him tonight at the swim meet. (read: time for a fatherly discussion on what is appropriate).

DD's swim meet on Tuesday was canxd due to rain/thunder. Which was good for me cause I was beat.

MIL came in and is feeling better now. Plan is to get her moving again and up her energy level. It's great to have her here.

School for me is going well. I have an "A" so far in my class. I signed up for another one to start in October.

Then there's Molly. She really needs to run. I need to put LJ on the bike and run her for a few miles a day. That girl is so needy right now. I just love her though. Early early this morning she came over and gave me a kiss.

ring ring ring: whew, that was CC...I dont' have to meet him to give him the tahoe...he'll survive this afternoon with the little truck. He put the power steering in the Jeep last night...we are getting closer and closer to getting that baby up and running and I can't wait! I just love my husband! He's such a wonderful guy! And I mean that sincerely. I hope he knows just how much I love him.

Today is my BIL's birthday. Happy Birthday Doc! (he's a horse vet). Tomorrow is LJ's 2nd birthday. I can't believe my baby will be 2. Where does time go.

Happy Anniversary! / She's Coming!

First off, today is Mom and my anniversary...the day that she picked me up from the adoption agency. I was 16 days old and a very tiny 5lbs. She called me this morning to wish me Happy Anniversary. I thank the Lord that He blessed me with an amazing mother who also gave me a wonderful and thoughtful sister and a hoot of a brother!

My MIL is coming in today. Of course, CC took the day off to go shrimping and has the big vehicle and I have the little two seater truck. He's picking up his mom and then going shrimping TONIGHT. Why tonight and not today? Oh, has something to do with tides and such. I don't care. Get me some FRESH shrimp buddy! Time to pull out the old stuff and cook it before it goes bad.

So DD jumps into bed with LJ today. He says "NO". He's a little possessive fellow these days. He won't let Molly upstairs. He is very independent and won't let ANYONE do ANYTHING for him let alone help him. But when "A-tha" got into bed with him I noticed something on her hand...her "friend's" class ring. OH I am so not ready for this. I don't know what these two are thinking. She's not allowed to go out on dates. I mean, come on. Oh well, it IS a new way for me to get her to do what she is supposed to do....hit her where it hurts the most when she doesn't obey the rules.

CC is so wonderful. I tell you, this man is amazing. He and I worked all day on Saturday (mostly him, not so much me) on the bedroom. Then Sunday when I was sick, he took care of LJ and got DD to church. Then he did a really nice tune-up on the Tahoe and worked some on the Jeep. Last night he worked a LOT on the Jeep. I have the most wonderful husband in the world. He just amazes me. Of course, all that work made for a man who was sleeping very deep last night (as in SNORING). That's okay though, I was too due to congestion.

I'm just so blessed to have a family that loves me.

Observations of a child.

We all observe things every day right? Some of us are more perceptive than others but we all see things that others might miss at some point or another.

Well, my little LJ is extremely observant. When hubs lost a hubcap off his truck, the next morning my then 18 month old went to the wheel and pointed at it and said "Daddy?". He KNEW something was missing. When mommy puts her hair up he notices immediately and lets me know that he prefers it down by trying to take out my hair clips.

Monday morning my neighbor decided to put a Jeff Gordon "24" sticker on my husbands tailgate. It was on the drivers side of the tailgate. She did this at 4am so there is no chance LJ saw her do it (yes, the woman gets up at 4am on a REGULAR basis...she's crazy if you ask me! but says it's the only time she has the house to maybe she's smart!). Anyway, I knew about this trick. I agreed to it cause these two love to hassle each other. She asked if I thought CC would notice. I said there was no way he would notice. He didn't notice the big car sitting at the end of our driveway across the street one morning when he backed out and hit it. If he couldn't see that, he's not going to notice a magnet on his truck.

Fast forward to Monday morning; 6:45am. Just almost twilight outside. Some light but not daylight yet. hubs walks around the back of "my" tahoe (he says it's mine but it is in HIS name) and then to his truck passenger side. LJ stops at the back of my truck and points to daddy's truck and says in his 6:45am-23-month-old-almost-decipherable voice "What's that?". Jon of course wants to go. I stop and start laughing not believing that my almost 2 year old son is observant enough to notice the magnet and my 40 something old husband - who is driving him to school - hasn't noticed it. Yes, men stop paying attention at some point in life which scares me to death now. Husband saw it and laughed. Said "good boy" to LJ and is plotting revenge.

Leave it to a 23 month old to ruin a good prank. I swear that magnet would have stayed there for a few weeks before my husband noticed it.
